Making business intelligence and data warehousing successful
within your organization requires building the right governance model first.
This is about the people, processes and policies your organization will use to
ensure that your data is well-formed, secure, appropriately available, etc.
Until the question of data governance is addressed, all the technology,
brilliant IT personnel, and slick dimensional modeling in the world won't make
your BI initiative successful.
July's ITA Business Intelligence
Roundtable will focus on best practices in data governance. This will be a true
roundtable session. No speaker. No PowerPoint (well, at least very little
PowerPoint). Just the group and our shared experiences. So, bring your questions
and bring people who have wrestled with data governance ... whatever their level
of success.
Join Capstone Consulting as we discuss building effective data
governance. Jeff Block (more info below) will facilitate the discussion. Session
will be highly interactive, focusing on group collaboration and networking.

Capstone Consulting, which deals with many of the topics we'll be addressing in
July's roundtable.
