ITA CleanTech Roundtable

The Cleantech Roundtable will focus on the role and impact of information technology on the c CleanTech sector and the opportunities for technology companies.  For every clean technology—smart grid, biofuels, wind, solar, storage, energy efficiency and conservation—IT has a role to play.

This roundtable welcomes both CleanTech and other technology companies.  For CleanTech companies, the roundtable will provide deeper insight into IT’s role in enhancing the value of green business models.  For IT  companies, the roundtable will identify opportunities to apply information technology to the CleanTech sector.   

Our first roundtable will discuss the range of different opportunities for IT within the cleantech sector generally and the smart grid specifically.  Examples include data aggregation, social networking and system wide optimization of assets.  Our speaker (and roundtable chair) will be Jay Marhoefer, CEO of Intelligent Generation LLC.   Jay will demonstrate the company’s “smart box”—the Intelligent Generation optimizer--that significantly increases the cost savings of solar energy through optimization, aggregation and social networking.   We will also have another smart grid speaker TBA.
