Just to make sure we get the attention and interest of the students, cash prizes are offered to the 3 top scores from the Final Challenge. Additionally, a networking event to introduce the Final Challenge participants to the leaders of the local technology industry and a full day of interviewing are available to all Final Challenge participants.
A ‘technology tournament’ is a non-language specific, object oriented programming and algorithm apptitude exam administered at each university visited over the course of the Fall Challenge. Qualifying scores are then invited to the Final Challenge; a more rigorous exam with cash prizes awarded to undergraduate students for 1st , 2nd, and 3rd place finishes of $5,000, $2,500, and $1,000; and a single cash prize of $2,500 awarded to the 1st place graduate student winner.
