Introduce your CS/CE students to the growing technology industry right here in Illinois! While students may be familiar with GrubHub.com and Groupon, there are hundreds of firms developing technology-based solutions for the future across the span of applications and tools. The Illinois Technology Association (ITA) developed the Fall Challenge program to introduce tomorrow’s technology leaders to the local industry, building an awareness of the many career opportunities available right here in Illinois.
The 2011 ITA Fall Challenge will visit 11 universities in the region, holding a ‘technology tournament’ with initial contests at each university visited. Qualifying scorers from each university will be invited to the Final Challenge, a more rigorous exam administered to the top students from all universities visited. Held in downtown Chicago, the top 3 scores will receive a cash of $5,000 for 1st place, $2,500 for 2nd place, and $1,000 for 3rd place. A full day of interviews and training are available to all students who qualify for the Final Challenge.
