What’s the secret to attracting the best talent to your company? Hirewell knows.

 
In 25 words or less, what is Hirewell all about? 

Hirewell is a talent acquisition partner that helps world-class organizations grow their business by attracting and retaining the best people for the job. 

What problem do you solve and how do you address it better than the competition?

We help companies find top talent within Tech, Digital Experience & Marketing, Human Resources, Sales and Executive Leadership. We thrive in an extremely competitive industry by having the best recruiters in the business who recognize that we must continually exceed our clients’ expectations.

How did you get started?

We started a long, long time ago (2001) as a search firm in the tech industry and have continually evolved by expanding into new markets and offerings over the past ten years.

How has your company culture evolved as Hirewell has grown? 

From the beginning, our focus has been to treat our employees, clients and job seekers with respect and courtesy,  and always to go the extra mile. That was true when we were a small firm of ten people, and it’s true now as we approach the 50-employee mark. Making sure our core values remain as we grow is key to our success. We work hard, but we have fun too, and as we grow, we want to maintain that vibe and continue to be a place people want to come to do good work.

What are your primary goals for Hirewell?

To continue to grow and develop deeper client relationships. In 2015, we set our goal of doubling our company in five years. We are halfway there and working hard to hit that goal!

Where do you see Hirewell in two years? Five? Ten?
 
We are just starting to hit our stride. Our HR, Digital Experience & Marketing, Tech and Sales Recruiting Practices are growing >30% per year. Each of those service lines has the potential to continue that growth as the war for top talent gets more competitive.

What’s the No. 1 thing on your to-do list?

Continue to find more top talent internally for Hirewell.

In your opinion, what are some of the pros and cons of being an Illinois
Business?

Chicago is a world-class city, and the State of Illinois has a diverse, deep pool of companies that are headquartered here. The talent pool is deep, and the cost of living is much more manageable than the coasts. The biggest con is the winter weather. Every February we always come across a few job seekers who are fed up and end up moving to somewhere warmer. Competing with the winter weather is hard.

What are the most significant challenges you face as you scale your business? 

Finding great talent for our team, the market for good recruiters is as competitive as any subset of the market. We spend a lot of time and effort finding them, training them, and doing whatever we can to retain them. Good thing we’re good at talent acquisition!
