When Nektarios Manos joined Florists’ Transworld Delivery (FTD) a year ago, he was tasked to help the company with digital transformation.
FTD, an international flower delivery service, counts ten brands under its umbrella and runs a network with 3,000 florist partners. Members of this florist network would fulfil flower orders made through FTD’s e-commerce site. The business aims to deliver flowers the same day orders are placed by engaging the services of florists located near an intended recipient.
Manos’s job as senior director of engineering included launching an aggregated, single platform for FTD’s various brands while also supporting FTD’s florist partner network.
