The Illinois Technology Association (ITA) is excited to announce the first annual ScaleUp Chicago, a rebranding of its popular Chicago Tech Summit. On May 9, 2019, at The Dalcy, ScaleUp Chicago will concentrate on the lessons learned - for both good and bad - that allow companies in tech to “scale up” and grow. This operations-focused, day-long conference provides attendees with the opportunity to hear from experienced leaders on how they can also reach the next level.
In previous years, the Chicago Tech Summit has brought together hundreds of leaders from across Chicago tech companies to tackle technology trends and learn how some of the best tech companies are conquering universal challenges. The decision was made to rebrand as ScaleUp Chicago to place emphasis on the cross-functional approach that this event takes through its variety of sessions and expert speakers. This year’s event has a power packed agenda from great leaders across top tech companies. Additionally, there is dedicated networking time during breaks and a cocktail reception post-event to encourage peer-to-peer connections.
“Our focus this year on empowering technology companies in Chicago, stems from our desire to grow and help the community,” said Julia Kanouse, CEO of ITA. “We are strongest when we collaborate and want to provide resources and learnings to nurture development in Chicago.”
Highlights from this year’s sessions include:
- Silos Suck with Sean Brown, President & CEO of YCharts, Doug Breaker, CEO of Scripted.com, Kent Steffen, President of CSG International and Caleb Eplett, VP of Product Management of Ycharts
