The Illinois Technology Association recognized some familiar faces and some new ones with its CityLights awards Thursday.
Shawn Riegsecker of advertising software firm Centro won CEO of the year. John Higginson, chief technology officer of online lending firm Enova, was named the CityLights industry champion.
Henrietta Dombrovskaya, associate director of database architecture at fintech company Braviant Holdings, won the technologist of the year award. Reem Jaghlit, vice president of product engineering at marketing-automation software maker ActiveCampaign, was named the prominent woman in tech.
Truce Software, which built technology to control mobile devices in the workplace, won the rising star award. Showpad, which makes sales-training software and bought LearnCore, took home the Lighthouse award.
